The North Carolina Snowstorm

In the end we only regret the chances we didn’t take.  I thought of this quote after a recent trip to North Carolina with my family.  Whenever you

get the opportunity to travel, take that opportunity to explore and better yourself.  ​

​During my trip to North Carolina, I spent some time photographing a record snowstorm that hit the state.  My sister and I, being from Florida, are not accustomed to such large snowstorms.  Once we saw the snow falling from our hotel room window, we threw on our jackets, grabbed our cameras, and ran for the lobby to the front doors.  Once we got outside, the wind was howling as snow began to cover the ground.  Of course, being kids from Florida, we ran around the entire town in excitement.  As we ran around, I attempted to capture the pure excitement of my sister.  
Later, we talked with residents who were also outside enjoying the snow.  They explained that snowstorms like the one we were witnessing are a rarity in North Carolina.  In the end, this was the best snowstorm ever!
